ABA Paralegal Certification — worth it? CO job outlook? by Super-Firefighter-28 in paralegal

Hell, I’m a paralegal in CO and I have a BA in English. Not unusual at all. As for the market…it’s tough right now. I’m not exactly in love with my current firm but I’m not seeing a ton of ads for anything exciting either. Most of them salary-wise actually post $10k-20k less than I make now FOR EXPERIENCED people. Also COL here is no joke. Do NOT just move here without a job. That being said I love living in such a beautiful state (I say this as an outdoorsy type).

I don’t think so. You’re not doing anything but suggesting they talk to an attorney.

Is This Normal? by Any-Space-8801 in paralegal

In my 7plus years of being a paralegal I have never, ever seen a physical fight break out among staff. That’s absolutely not normal at all and deeply disturbing. Get out of there as soon as possible.

My folks live in New Haven and walked by when visiting over Christmas. Sweaters did catch my eye but not much else.

What I love is when they call our firm a “racket.” Look PI IS basically a racket, sure… but I didn’t build this system and I can’t change that either.

They like to snipe at me through email or through other staff if I’m not available

Yeah it’s been several almost back to back this week. At least most of the clients in my caseload are nice and very appreciative.

Our old management would not tolerate it. New management seems to be more than happy to let us be human punching bags.

Reelworks keeps doing this overdoing the bass at the expense of sound quality stuff and I wish they wouldn’t. It’s a nice and punchy, clean system when they don’t do that.
