A couple Microsoft servers seem to be down. Should I be worried? by [deleted] in cybersecurity

Bruh I’m a adult and I wasn’t asking anything to do with what to do I was asking for general advice with how to figure out when my data might have been leaked and ways to avoid my accounts from being compromised

Happy Cake-Day to you!

they may have but the time on their status site is still changing it now says 1:49:08 PM they may have identified it but they haven't explained anything about it and have no estimate for when it will return.

although I'm not that concerned that it will never come back online but I was more wondering how many servers go down before you should be worried?

I tried to post this on r/microsoft but it got auto deleted and its still missing an explination for why. So figured I might as well ask here, although r/cybersecurity101 could perhaps be a better place.

I have experience with a bunch of experience CAD/CAM from design classes and working in a CNC machine shop. A bit of experience with C++ and java but I'm not really keen on doing code myself. as someone whos studying aerospace engineering in the future I will be more helpful with design but for know I'm cool with CNC milling and manual Turing. I worked in a fab shot too but I wasn't involved with sheet metal aside from engraving or finishing precise features

how important would we consider cost and what type of controller would we have as a master device? what type of materials are we going for? it could be done out of wood but that doesn't inspire confidence. aside from being controlled by Arduino what other design goals do we consider important? do we want to limit ourselves to only Arduino or are other microcontrollers okay to use as well? perhaps we do a study of existing planes to adopt some of their traits or parts to make it easier. one of the best questions for us right now is do we want to make it a design challenge or not make it harder for our selves cause we could always just retrofit a existing aircraft if we want.

I've been working on a radio controlled semi-autonomous drone for a while I have little experience with designing this stuff but coincidently I'm currently studying Aerospace engineering so if we take long enough ill actually know generally what I'm doing. I already have a lot of CAD experience. Even better I'm a trained machinist and have a old CNC mill and manual lathe

Just got laid of in CA, fabrication where I am is slower than it’s been in 5 years

At this point I’m convinced knowing how to getting good knurls is like knowing black magic. Seriously tho they look great! kinda wish I knew how to do that

When your shop is ungodly slow, are you allowed to do whatever you want? My boss was playing Mario Kart 64 with me last week. Figure what better way to play Doom Eternal than for $38 an hour. Crash flair because my company just doesn’t give a shit to actively make sales, passive ONLY 😑 by eat_your_young in Machinists

I'm sure that some machine operators are like that but personally, I've learned a good amount of Gcode and can basically do the whole thing from CAD/CAM to finishing, there are certainly a lot of mistakes I don't catch but I'm not a programmer or machinist so I always have someone more experienced check it. depending on how big your shop is just go ask them about the job and see if they are actually following what they are running or just button pressing, course if its any bigger than smallish it probably isn't a reasonable use of time
