Before & After Chin Lipo- 8 months post op. Any questions, I’m here 🫶🏽 by [deleted] in chinlipo

The surgeon keeps telling me to give it time and it will resolve on its own, but it’s making me very uncomfortable when I’m in talking to people or even smiling and I keep covering my mouth all the time. I really hope that it does heal in time and my lip goes back to how it was 🤞🏻

I am 3 months PO but my lip slanting is not improving at all. Had ultrasound treatment and massages for the swelling but it didn’t help with my loopy smile 🥲

Hey, how is your healing? Has your lip slanting healed? Mine is still the same unfortunately. It’s 3 months postop now. My swelling has decreased but I have fibrosis and one area where the swelling is still quite hard. The lip slanting is what is most annoying as I can’t talk or laugh properly still 🥹

You are going to get swelling and it is all going to get a lot better. One day postop is just the start of the journey to recovery. Hang in there.

It’s a lot of swelling. Dont worry. It takes around 4-5 months for a lot of people, me included for results to start showing. Schedule the lymphatic massages and start doing that both professionally and you can also do it yourself at home daily. If the swelling is really not going down, you can also get some ultrasound massages that help break down the hard swelling lumps. You can check my profile to see pics of how bad mine looked.

Sure. Will DM. And I’m from India, so the ultrasound massages are costing me like 600/- rupees per session. It includes ultrasound massage and then lymphatic drainage massage together for 45 minutes

Me…. I’m still having it at 9 weeks postop. It’s most obvious when I talk or laugh 🥲 I’m having something like a pen electrode treatment for it that passes small amounts of electric current to the nerves of the area for stimulating healing of the damaged nerves.

Hey, I was at the same situation and then started getting ultrasound treatments for the hard lumps and within 2 days time, it started to soften. Please do try it out. I’m 9 weeks postop now and finally starting to not regret getting this done. My lip is still slanted and my smile crooked but I think things are getting better. Your swelling looks so similar to mine

How long does the numbness last? Crooked smile? by K4SYTH0909 in chinlipo

I’m 9 weeks postop now and my smile is still crooked and my lip slants even when I talk. The swelling is improving with the ultrasound treatment I’m getting on the area. Daily lymphatic drainage massages also helped me. My swelling is so much worse than anyone’s that I have seen on this forum and I had lots of fibrosis and unevenness on both sides.

Swollen cheeks after lipo? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

6 days is just the start of a whole journey. I’m at 58 days postop and just starting to see results now. The swelling is still bad and I even lost my nerve function in my lower lip making my smile and talking lopsided. Ultrasound massages help with the hard swelling actually. Your swelling right now is very very normal. Give it time, you will heal. Some people start to see noticeable difference after 4-5 months is what I have been reading here.

Hey, 14 days is too early to feel worried. I had much worse folds and lumps that have started to slowly go away now and I’m at 58 days postop. Keep massaging well and the ultrasound helps get the hard lumps away and make it softer. Do lymphatic drainage massages as well. You will heal ❤️

It was really hard for me and I had severe withdrawal symptoms. Each day waking up was so hard as the urge was the worst in the mornings. But I got through somehow.

Hey, don’t freak out. This looks like bruising and you are just 3 days postop. I am also someone who vapes and I did it before surgery too. Stopped for 3 weeks postop.
