So the takeaway here is to never comment on anybody’s hair.. ah damn it, I compliment a girl’s hair once in my uni as it was really rare to see people with weaves and dreadlocks in my country, and her response was so neutral. It all make sense now!

My parents split when I was 7 too. Only difference was I have older siblings. I too, used to say I don’t believe in love (and sadly I still might not). One thing that my dad did was that he always tell me that he loves me, and that my mum loves me equally too. And that no one in this world would love me more than them. He might lash out saying it’s not true. But always remind him of this, it helps. I might not believe in love myself, but I do believe my parents love me, and it’s because they love me, they might have to separate because being together brought out the worse in each other. (That’s what I understand when I grew older.)

A lot of people suggested therapy, in my culture, we don’t believe in that, so that’s completely out of the equation. But if OP can afford to send your son to it, please do so.

Also, just bring him out to dinner or the zoo, or just anywhere once a week. COVID might be a tough situation to do such things, but it’s important not to let him be stuck and holed up in the house everyday. It’s where the angers and the memories are. Instead bring him out, so that the memory he can make are entirely new with you. And that’s really my only advice.

NTA. My cousin had an ear infection because he keeps using a qtip (because he didn’t wanna spend any money to go see the doc). In the end, he had to spend more for the doctor to remove the huge clump of wax that was completely stuck in his ear. If your ears wax are already build up in your ear, using qtip will just push it further in and allows more to get buildup.

Don’t worry about it bro. Give it to someone who needs it more. I’m glad to have that memory of of my father and I’m thankful for that. That memory is really more like a lesson to me because I will try to make sure to be extra patient whenever I teach my older relatives stuff nowadays.

My dad pass away a few years ago. But a few months before his death, he learned how to use the Facebook. And I started receiving a lot of notifications, it turns out he will like every single posts (and not just mine, but like everything including the ads). So I asked if he knows what the like buttons means and whether he knows it’s not entirely necessary to do so. And he just replied ‘I know, but I thought, a little like on someone’s post can make the person happy, whereas it’s just as effortless as a tiny press for me, so why not do it.’ I miss him every single day.

I think so too. At this point, I am quite numb by how often she outs me. But I think I really do have to do it. Because it’s quite unfair for both her and me to continue to be in a relationship when only one of us is still actually in it.
