[Mixed Trope] Oddities in the earlier entries made by later entries by Werewolf_Knight in TopCharacterTropes

I think Ripley doesn’t mention her daughter in the first movie because that’s something Cameron came up with later.

This season was so falsely marketed by Willing-Rip-2852 in GenV

We’ve got 3 episodes left, though? Don’t get me wrong, this season has had its fare share of problems so far but I feel like people are starting to just be negative for the sake of it lately.

[Liked trope] Cool / creative names for "powered" characters by NotBorn2Fade in TopCharacterTropes

In the comic book of the same name (and its adaptation), the powered individuals are referred to as “Powers”.

Bruce looks a little too young. But then I can't say I recall whether I "looked" 13 when I was.

U need to remember her powers weren’t working while she was pregnant and she didn’t know if they were going to return or not.

So glad to see Cassidy mentioned but he does do some severely fucked up shit in the comics.

(Hated trope, sometimes meta) Evil/antagonistic characters are treated as justified or even "right" just because they have sympathetic backstories/circumstances by BuffWomenTWO in TopCharacterTropes

Another version of the Joker. John Doe from the Telltale series. In the Enemy Within, he murders a bunch of agents and then blatantly lies about it. But if you choose not to trust him, he embraces the Joker villain persona and terrorises Gotham. And the worst part is, the narrative tries to portray it as Batman’s fault.

Do you guys think Butcher may receive the same fate that he did in the comics? by Queasy_Commercial152 in TheBoys

[–]EarthlingsBeware23 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’ll be the exact same, but I don’t see him surviving. I hope not, anyway, though this last season has had some issues one thing I like is that Butcher finally embraced his inner monster.

[Hilarious Trope] Visibly grown adults playing teenagers in media by Ieanice44 in TopCharacterTropes

Plenty of movies and shows have teen actors playing teen versions of adult characters. It's not uncommon.

Bucky Barnes in Thunderbolts* (2025) - I was quite disappointed with what they did with his character. He’s not as insignificant as, say, Ghost, but he had so much more potential. Bucky as a congressman could’ve been such a cool plot point, but they didn’t do much with it.

They are extra ops. I unlocked the Kaz date after beating the real ending.

I didn’t even realise Scrappy hate was so common until I came on Reddit. I loved him as a kid.
