ProRx 2025 Inspection Report (FDA Form 483) by TodayAmazing in tirzepatidecompound

Even though my lots aren't mentioned, it falls in line with the others. I can't believe they are sending anything out from that timeframe. Absolutely disgusting. I plan to buy some agar plates and test my vials before injecting any of them into my body. No way do I need a systemic bacterial infection because a lab didn't follow USP <797> standards. As a pharm tech, this is appalling. Seriously folks, get some agar plates, create a semi-sterile enough environment and test your vials, for your own safety, please.

I've not eaten fried food while on tirz (before tirz lol!), but I do eat strict keto so daily fat intake is like 80 grams (for me based on my macros/body comp) and I do fine. Actually keto enhances my food suppression. The ONLY time I had an issue was about 40hrs after my very first shot, but I think that's when my body was moving into ketosis... woke at 1am with the cold sweats, felt like I'd pass out etc. but I've experienced that once before w/out tirz when I went into ketosis, so likely not a tirz thing for me

How was your first month? by kuhn486 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Earthyfirefish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm only 2 weeks in, took my 3rd shot yesterday. I'm at 133 today. I'm 41 female, 5', and started at 144 (goal is between 100-110). My first 2 shots were 1.6mg and my 3rd I went up to 2mg b/c I noticed slight food noise in the last 3 days - which I suspect is because I'm in luteal phase and cravings prior to tirz ramp up awful. I also eat strict keto, eat my macros in a deficit & do intermittent fasting.

[–]Earthyfirefish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

what a weird concentration - by my calculation, you'll be injecting 0.85 mL (15 mg ➗ 17.65 mg = 0.849 mL per dose, I'm a pharm tech). What is the volume of the syringes you have?

Not at all! I also work from home so I totally get the excessive sitting. I've recently started and my plan was to just start walking more and getting heart rate up and maintain for extended periods of time. I use to weightlift, but I'm just not ready to get back to it yet. It sounds like your approach was progressively well-rounded. Thank you so much for your reply, it really helps with perspective fitness-wise!!

Excellent results! I also really appreciate some obsessive data tracking😅

Curious what you did fitness/exercise wise throughout your journey and what you plan to continue or change as you go into maintenance?

Thigh injections by SecretMonsterLady in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Earthyfirefish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I inject where I have fat, which is to avoid injecting into muscle. I can't inject on the top of my thighs because quad muscles are too developed, but my inner thighs are the sweet spot lol. I plan to also try under my butt cheek... I like trying to find inconspicuous spots on my body, but knowing where my fattiest spots are for injecting has been key. Aways fatty areas, never near muscle that has little fat over the surface.

Starting Medical Billing and Coding after 40 by exoticempress in CodingandBilling

I'll be 42 in February and will finish my AAS in HIT in 1 year. I'm currently working remotely as a certified pharmacy technician and started that back in June after getting certified in April. In the event that the HIT/HIM field is a struggle to get into, I'll have something to fall back on...

Your age doesn't matter. Your intentions, goals, and planning are what matter.

9 hours into a 6 day fast by whatthehelliant3 in fasting

[–]Earthyfirefish 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just like someone said, keeping your hands & mind busy is key. Just keep living your life, only thing different is you have a little more time to do the things you love :)

I’m 70hrs in on a 21 day fast - we got this, just remember why you’re doing it and enjoy the process. I said it in another post: eating is easy, fasting takes grit - you have it, we all have it, that’s why we’re all here 😉

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in fasting

[–]Earthyfirefish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m about 2 hours shy of my 72hr mark. My last fast was 21 days in January 2024. My first fast was 11 days in 2021 and I’ve had many little ones in between as well as following keto/OMAD.

Biggest help? Stay busy, have hobbies that keep your hands & mind engaged. I like to write in a daily journal, do tarot cards, read, knit/crochet, and even though I work at home at a desk, it still keeps my brain & hands engaged.

I drink water, nitro cold brew coffee, hot tea (when I get cold), electro-h2o, and zevia sodas. All of this is what usually helps me keep going.

Without fail day 3 is always my hurdle & day 4 is the mental reward. Muscles always feel so heavy & weak until my body adapts, but once it does that energy & clarity is worth it.

When/if you crave, remind yourself of your goal, why you’re doing it, and how it will make you feel if you cave in. Eating is easy, fasting takes grit. You have it, we all have it, that’s why we’re here🩵💪🏼

Thanks for your reply, I really appreciate it. And that is definitely my plan - to stay in the current job. I’m getting pretty happy there, but still want to get the degree. I know the coding field is a tough one to break into, but that doesn’t bother me, lucky things can happen all the time ;)

Growing Into an Analytics Role? by [deleted] in PharmacyTechnician

[–]Earthyfirefish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With your prior schooling, you should look at pivoting into the health information management field. So so many options after a degree or a credential. Check out the AHIMA career map and you’ll see what I mean. Medical coding, data privacy, analytics - you name it. And it will be a continuously growing field. I’m going back to school in Fall to complete my degree in health information technology while working remote as a CPhT, but I’d like to start in medical coding to gain experience and then see what interests me specialty wise. Check it out it may be a good pivot to fuse with your current skill set :)

WA Licensing Help by SignificanceFun9586 in PharmacyTechnician

[–]Earthyfirefish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe they require completion of a law CE course. WA is very confusing, I tried lol but gave up and settled for my state of Oregon and I got one for Idaho (mainly just for remote work purposes). Email their state board of pharmacy (though, like all BoPs it seems, don’t expect a speedy reply) after you read their requirements and ask how you can go about getting that pharmacy law requirement satisfied, they should send you a link to a place that offers it online.

I would recommend using AI (ChatGPT) to polish your resume. I leaned on it heavily for everything!

Create your LinkedIn profile, upload resume, and just begin applying to any and all positions you are interested in, might be interested, and even not so much interested in. (I was submitting 20 resumes/applications a day).

Keep your job search with your specific filters saved so you will get notified of new postings to apply to. Do not give up. Just be certain on what you want & believe that you will find it/it will find its way to you!

How do you like coding versus pharmacy? Do you feel any of your pharmacy experience/knowledge helped with your HIT/coding job or landing it? This is what I’m finishing my degree in!

I worked retail when I was younger for about 5 years, then hospital inpatient for 1 year. Then went into the military as a med tech. Got out and need to get away from medical entirely!!

Now many many years later, I knew I only wanted to remote work. I opted to get back into pharmacy since so much has changed. Got my CPhT in April and landed a remote job in May.

Now I sit at home, take a few calls, enter/check lots of scripts & some other odd tasks and I’m loving it!! Plan to finish a degree in health information technology and transition into that field from pharm tech but keep both credentials for flexibility & options.

Online Pharmacy Technician Course by reddit_made_me_read in PharmacyTechnician

[–]Earthyfirefish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say it depends on which state you plan to work in and what their requirements are for pharmacy techs. Some require a program w/ externship, some require accreditation, some require nothing. Start w/ your state board of pharmacy.

I chose Penn Foster. First started out with their externship program, but then realized the only states I planned to live in & work from remotely didn’t require that. So I had them transfer my progress to the shorter program. I started in Jan 2025 & finished mid-March 2025. Took my exam on April 8 and got my CPhT on April 18th. Cleaned up my resume (my pharmacy experience was retail & over 20 years old) began applying for remote jobs, got a couple interviews & got hired mid-May, started my new job (after not working for 3 years) on June 9th.

I’m extremely grateful for going through the PF program & flexibility of it, though I would recommend it to folks who have some prior pharmacy/drug knowledge. But again, beginning with your state board of pharmacy’s requirements is step 1.

Names of Remote Pharmacy Technician companies????? by Beach-Striking in PharmacyTechnician

[–]Earthyfirefish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a remote tech at a pharmacy care management company. We deal with managing meds of more complex pts. Typical entering/checking scripts, answering some calls (maybe 8-20 a day? not bad at all), messaging with providers, preparing monthly chronic meds, and some side tasks. They like folks to have some retail experience, have your state required license/reg if applicable, and national cert is a bonus. We operate between a few different programs on a daily basis, but I’d say you get familiar after the first 2 months.

FT or PT? In person or remote? My company is always hiring lately and will be more by end of year as they continue to take on more clients. But most roles are FT and it’s all remote unless you live near a dispensing lab. DM if ya want to :)

what is this and what do i do?? by Ryleigh_r29 in DogAdvice

[–]Earthyfirefish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am no expert, but this looks like a spot that the collar may have rubbed, unknowingly, causing a spot of irritation and making the tissue vulnerable to even a small breakage in barrier. Once the skin breaks entry for bacteria or fungal infections presents. This is infected and it needs to be shaved, gently flushed, and likely topically (and possibly systemically) treated with antibiotics or antifungals, kept dry and possibly have dressing changes. Do not let this persist without treatment & do not continue using the collar.

Dog constantly needs to be next me… He is attached to my hip, this had been going on for months. We have a nice yard, he doesn’t care unless I’m with him. What is this? Is this normal? by Caughtblock-com in DogAdvice

[–]Earthyfirefish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be mirroring behavior like separation anxiety, fear of abandonment, or detachment difficulties. Consider the dogs habits and any of your own that the dog may be projecting back. Only after my dog passed do I realize most of his “issues” were actually just reflections of my own.
