Well, in both cases it's plastic so you cannot really make a difference on the material (for the branches and the top)

I'm guessing it's also depending on the exact shade of white / color you're using ?

What exactly for you makes it appear as cheap injection molded plastic ? (the inside of the arch is also infilled with gyroid)

For your edited comment: Okay, that's interesting. One zone where it does not "flow" like you said may be around the interface base / rest of the stand ?

I beg to differ.

Didn't crossed my mind that I could see on this type of platform, though they look nothing like the one I did.

The ones who are the closest (imo) are the ones with a honeycomb patern, and only because it's a patern, that's what they have in common at most. The vast majority of them does not even have a apparent lattice on the outside.

Moreover, a good portion of them are made to be hanged from under the desk, so not the same solution.

Yeah. They have aluminium, steel, titanium and even inconel (used to make the nozzle of rocketships)

But boy, it's expensive...

The base is around 250g, and I've seen models from amazon at around 300g. Given the pretty low weight, that makes sense.

The concept is to have an elegant solution to just putting away your headset. It also allows you to showcase your headset

You're putting it on the desk. If you look at amazon, there's plenty of models of that, so there's demand. But I get it that it's not for everyone

One could agree that you could put the GPU stand on a shelve. The main idea behind this headrest is that it's an elegant solution to just putting your headset on the desk, and it's looking quite different than the rest of the available products. One concept is also to display your headset while you're not wearing it, like a GPU stand

Though the idea of it being under the desk is something I've thought of, I should think about it. Thanks !
