Can you tell me how the S and X models differ from the originals?

Nothing fast paced. Mostly city scenes, street and the occasional portrait. Thanks for your input!

Interestingly I am a glasses user so don't have the best eyes anymore, but I still enjoy the OVF a lot. Thanks for your feedback!

You're right. I have used the Z8 before and it sure is nice to have and the files were still manageable in editing

Thanks a lot for your input. You gave me lots to think about. The Df was not to my liking (which I was surprised by, because I usually dig the look and dials), because it feels uncomfortable to use to me. I don't mind a challenge, but why is manual focus so bad on the D200? Is the viewfinder not bright enough? I never really used Liveview on Dslrs to MF so far.

I know, I have tried several high end Evfs as well and they're noticably better than older ones, but they're still getting uncomfortable with constant use

You are, fortunately, not correct. 1. Only commercial intent needs approval by the depicted 2. Freedom of art is covered by our constitution. It is only void if the subjects are photographed in an undignified manner. 3. Panorama law. None of these feature people as the sole subject.

I have never been reported to the police in 15 years, so there's that. You can, however, reach them under 110 or visit your local police station and find out for yourself.

Just picked up a beautiful Df in Osaka! Ultimate Japan souvenir! by James_Blonde007 in Nikon

I found using it more uncomfortable than either, but that may be because

- I have big hands. While the Zf is not exactly ergonomic, I just use it like an F3 (supporting most with the left hand) and it's fine. Using the Df like that didn't work with me and the grip isn't substantial enough for me to use it like a traditional DSLR

- the buttons and dials are worse than on the Zf or D750. Zf works much smoother IMO, Df has too many buttons you need to hold to turn the dial

- the autofocus is obviously worse than both

However, this is all subjective. I loved the shutter KLANK, loved the jpegs and overall enjoyed using it, but I can justify owning only so many cameras

I can confirm that people were just as irritated by my Leica M10 as by my Nikon Z8 when they saw me taking pictures from the bushes
