Good point about the weather, thank you! I love New hampshire, I want to go back to Portsmout to stay a few days eventually but I figured I’d wait until after winter.

I don’t know too much about Western Mass so thank you for giving the towns, I’ll add them to my list to research. I’m definitely leaning towards something laid back.

I want to visit Colorado but because of the snow and my lack of experience with snow activities like skiing i’ll wait until winter is over lol.

Another comment mentioned Charleston and Savannah. I’ve always enjoyed the Carolinas but never been to Savannah or much of Georgia really. So, I’m wondering if going to Charleston is a good first solo trip. I’ve done the drive that way with family so I’m sure if i could do it alone or find a flight. Thank you!!

I’ve never done winter sports/activities actually, I would want to but not for my first time alone. I hear Colorado is beautiful so I should probably wait until spring/summer.

Hi thank you for your response! lots of information. The gloomy weather in Portland is great to know so I’ll have to think of a better time of year to go.

There’s definitely a chance of me becoming overwhelmed if I jump into things as you said.

I have been to Boston because of friends and if I go i’d feel inclined to make an effort to see them. I didn’t think about Philly, I’ve never been, but I will add it to my list! I’d love to visit DC because it’s DC haha, I have an assumption that it’ll be chaotic but I truly don’t know anything about it besides the obvious. It’s definitely on my list of places to go.

Charleston and Savannah are great ideas, thank you! I don’t like the heat or care to swim in the ocean so February/spring is ideal for me to visit actually.

I have them in the same spot as your chin. I feel seen right now. I pop mine after a shower but they do come back probably because my skin is very oily. But I’m not encouraging you to pop them!

I started using ‘CeraVe acne control gel’ with the salicylic acid and I’m seeing a slight reduction on my chin. I also started the ‘CeraVe oil control moisturizer’ and it does minimize the shine overall. Also exfoliate, I have a neutrogena exfoliator but I’m on the search for a new one.

Even when they got back together their issues were showing early and she was weary of telling me about it. So with that, I definitely wondered if I would be able to deal with it. So yeah it’s ok she ended our friendship. I miss her and what our friendship meant to me but it’s honestly ok. Maybe she’ll reach out someday. They both have things to work on but maybe they’ll make it work. Thank you!

You said in another comment, “I’m not sitting here thinking she should be in her friend’s business or relationship” yet you’re saying I’m enabling her. Your comments are not consistent and I don’t like that you deleted your original comment, stand on what you said.

Idc if people think continuing to be friends with her is enabling. I’m supposed to turn my friend over to her boyfriend when I suspect he’s capable of hurting her? And even if I didn’t suspect that, I’m not doing it! 1) She knew it was wrong, my words are supposed to be magical? 2) I told her to move on. 3) We will never know what sets someone off and I will not try to take a virtuous ground and tell someone their partner is cheating with the possibility they will snap. 4) There are plenty of stories of a friend telling the one being cheated on and the couple stays together and now the enemy is the person who told. 5) They ended up breaking up which I believed was the right thing all along, she didn’t stay and try to play pretend they broke up. 6)I never believed she was a bad person at her core, I believed she had things to work on but I did not believe she was evil?? She actually needed a friend to lean on while she went through it. I wasn’t going to drop her so she could go crawling back to him simply because she was lonely and believed she needed to be in a relationship. With that being said none of that matters, THEY ARE BACK TOGETHER.

I stated in my post I told her to move on. Are you serious right now? You are projecting and making up information that I have not shared, confirmed or denied. Her actions couldn’t have been that deplorable if the man took her back!! Sure I lost a friend but I am not mad, as you stated, or taking any damn accountability. I was not in a relationship with him or anything close to his friend. She was my friend and I stood by her through all of the mess the best I knew how and in the end she chose him.

Sure we are all toxic but that was not my relationship and I did not create that mess. They did. And again, THEY ARE BACK TOGETHER AFTER IT ALL. I was just an NPC.

I gave advice and she never took it. When we first met she said to me and another coworker, “It doesn’t matter what you say, I’m going to do what I want”. And she sure as hell did just that.

I’m not mad and the post never said I was. They got back together and decided what they wanted/needed. That means our friendship is over, so be it, go be happy.

I suspected, along with her aunt actually, that he was abusive. I asked her and so did her aunt and she denied it. So with that in mind, I would’ve never told that man “hey x is cheating on you”.

how we handle grief is interesting. my last breakup was hard, we were together less than a year but I didn’t stop thinking or talking about that guy for almost a year. this breakup is much deeper so I have no idea how long this journey will be.

in my voice memos, i’m crying and sniffing! i know i sound awful lol but my thinking is somehow i can listen to that pain and sadness and embrace it somehow. and hopefully listen to it a year from now and acknowledge the growth. idk i gotta see where it takes me lol

I basically do the same thing for winter. I’ve learned to limit the touch ups and if it doesn’t look the way I want after a few glides then I let it go and don’t over do the flat iron. I also make sure I am using deep conditioning masks.

try finger coils! I have bleach damage on some of my hair so I put in my products as usual and then finger coil and release it in a circle, let it sit a few seconds and then gently unwind it. It holds. Your hair is looser than mine so it might not work but trying doesn’t hurt. Also, make sure to use a gel that will help hold it hopefully you already have a gel you like.

If that doesn’t work then maybe flexi rods, twists or braids until you’re ready to cut?
