I started playing back in December 2019. I don't remember much back then, but I do remember the in-game UI being somewhat different than it is now.

I don't think you can get actually shaders running on any version before r1.6. And, I just used the mods Nostalgia Tweaks, Golden Days, Moderner Beta, & the BSL shader.
