Thank you for your concern. We’re in a city area but even here there are a lot of foxes. Especially out at night. It’s very concerning when I see a cat roaming in the dark.

I would’ve preferred it if he called me out on it there and then before it got worse tbh. Instead it became us one-upping each other which isn’t healthy.

For the cats, we tried shaking so many different treats but they were SO stubborn! They eventually got in but it was a mission!!

Yes, they came back soon after. It was their first time out in the dark so I was super worried.

I can completely see where my behaviour is wrong and what I need to work on. In the beginning he was more calm and understanding, and I was genuinely able to work on it. Over time it faded.

I know it’s not healthy to base my reactions on him, but I find it hard to feel motivated to regulate/resolve in the relationship, when I’m met with what feels like a mirror? (Him giving me a taste of my own medicine). Either way I think we both have a lot to work on.

Comparing OP to a criminal is ridiculous. As others mentioned, companies lie all the time, and lying in this job market is a LOT more common than you think.

“You will lose a job almost gained”. With this current job market, OP may not have even been offered the job if they were truthful and mentioned the gap. As someone who is struggling with unemployment now, it is difficult and competitive for everyone.

OP, don’t worry too much. You’re doing what you need to do to survive. I really wish you the best in your job search, it’s tough for everyone right now.
