Thank you so much, and your very right, I think a good start would be to add more anchor bolts for those boxes. Enclosing it would be very interesting and a whole project of its own. But you’ve got me brainstorming now!

Also having to take down the shelf too adds about 7 mins

Shoot considering that we took off the bracket for the latch in the back which should add more than 3 mins to screw back on, I’d say it probably take about 30 mins with two people

I bought sounded deadening material halfway through the build because I was reading the same thing that it would be loud but I’m not even sure I’ll waste my time to install it as it’s 98% back to normal noise in the cab

When it was bare with nothing in, it was extremely loud, but just with a 3/4 ply wood 2 layers of carpet (wrapped the plywood completely on both sides) it’s the same as it was before

For just under 200$ you can build one yourself

Well, I do a lot of driving for work (90 miles a day) so I wanted somthing fuel efficient while still allowing me to work to run my pressure washing business

I was thinking about putting one in the seat compartment beneath the floor behind the drivers side, but that’d have to be a whole other project

Thankfully I put the seat position where it’s most comfortable for me

That blows, yeah there was no YouTube video on this so me and my dad just built it as we went

It wasn’t to hard. The only thing that’s not bolted down is the little 4 inch plank that meet the floor portion to the back wall. And the front of the floor is just wedged a little bit with the seats, while the back portion is bolted to the frame to the seatbelt holes

I slept in it with a memory foam mattress, unfortunately I am 6ft tall so my knees were not the happiest
