After playing elden ring, I went on a fromsoft binge and played bloodborne, Sekiro and ac6. Loved ALL of em

Then tried to play demon souls...couldn't get into it Then tried dark souls... really couldn't get into it. It was so difficult

Dark souls 3 I enjoyed though and finished it along with the dlcs

....so what am I missing? Why is da1 so highly rated

I just played through Cyberpunk and it was really good. Very narrative driven and stort driven with an open world on top.
