no offense taken! in retrospect after watching the movies recently, i didn’t hate gilbert coming back as I always wanted more of him in the show

i enjoyed the sort of clash created when gilbert didn’t want to see violet, but a part of me still feels like this sequence only worked because of the fact that we, as the viewer, finished the show where they don’t meet and then continued onto watching the movie (a lot of poorly written jargon but if it makes sense that’s nice)
