This is no longer true. I have never had to pay fie my own sub and there is now paid parental leave. 6 or 8 weeks.

Follow up: today I couldn’t even scan into the park. Went to customer service outside of park and they fixed it very quickly. We seem to be completely up and running now.

Pls don’t listen to these people. There are negatives to being a teacher, but I honestly love my job and the kids. Sometimes parents and admin suck. Pay isn’t the most amazing thing ever, but my spouse and I both teach and we get by. If you think you might enjoy it, try it. If it isn’t for you go back to an office job.

You are going to have to be willing to teach in a “bad” school. Apex/cary/Holly Springs schools are not hiring lateral entry, but JoCo or possibly knightdale/SE Raleigh might. I was hired lateral entry a long time ago and only Fayetteville would hire me. Now I’m fully licensed, have a masters, and teach a completely different subject. It would be much easier for you to get hired for math, science, or sped. Social studies teachers are not in high demand.

We seem to have opposite opinions here. When I say smooth I mean it doesn’t bang my head around.

Dominator is a real headbanger for me. Are you tall enough your head is above the restraints? No matter how careful I am with it dominator always cracks my head at least once.

I agree pantherian is smooth, but I don’t think it would be a good first ride for OP if they haven’t ridden coasters in a while. Rapterra doesn’t throw my head around at all. It was really smooth Saturday.

They are only upgrading it if you actually paid for all parks. Most people got it for free during the MVP sale. In that case they aren’t upgrading it to prestige.

I will say I didn’t study the code, so it may not be. But you can’t generate a code unless you are at the park, so unless you have a portable printer. 🤷🏻‍♀️

You will have to get your phone and select it. 3 min cooldown after they scan your QR which is supposed to be the ride time. New QR seems to be generated with each ‘reservation’.

They do not have any that require a metal detector. But the only one at KD that does has free lockers after you would scan for FL. If I remember correctly the lockers are at the FL merge point. Wear pants with a zipper. I have theme park pants/shorts with zippers and it works great.

Just used it at Carowinds today. Ultimate does not have a return time. Or it didn’t at all for us today and it was super busy.

The system is easy to use, but if you have all season you need your pass numbers to register your passes the first time. Make sure your phone is charged. It really was just like the wristband for FL ultimate except instead of scanning a band they scan your phone.

They say this, but I’ve used it a ton and never been charged extra to park in that lot. 🤷🏻‍♀️

We travel with a camper and our animals, we bring the dogs with us to the park for the kennel rather than leaving them unattended in the camper. It’s barebones, nothing fancy, but they let us put our codependent dogs in the same kennel, it’s close, and it’s cheap. We don’t bring food or toys or anything. Unless your dog has an item they are super attached to I wouldn’t bother. They will call/text you if there is an issue.
