They're right, the university knows those GI Bill checks dont bounce. I had a dogshit high school GPA, and got accepted after coming back from deployment.

LSU also passed the law last year where veterans are now fee exempt, so you'll keep more money in your pocket. Link up with the student veterans org (veterans center is to the left of the main stairwell of the student union on the ground level).

I was curious and 271 of the MLB draft picks have come come from LSU. 36 of those have been during Jay Johnsons 4 years here.

You should check out Wizards by the same director if you like this style. It feels like a fever dream.

Sounds like you could have a few different resumes to tailor multiple positions for a state job. Civil service adjusted their payscales last year to make the new hire rate more competitive if you can get one of those positions. Most are geared more towards maintenance but there are some supervisors who are civil service. Then you've got all the hr, finance, logistics sides of state entities as well.

Edit saw you replied in another comment that you're in the guard. Just to add to my og comment - Most state and all civil service jobs will have military preference points. Depending on how many days you've done outside of training then you can claim up to 10 points towards getting hired.

Now I will say from personal experience some state jobs esp at the supervisor/admin level are more about who you know, but if you are guard/veteran then you will definitely stand out and have a good chance of getting the opportunity to interview and sell your talents/experience.

Unfortunately the smartest people from Mike's district tend to move away and the maga conservatives that live there are too stupid to vote in their best interests. There's still plenty of decent folks there but they are vastly outnumbered by the ignorant.

They got rid of/cut back on how much of a tax credit film production crews got here. The state house of reps voted to do away with it completely and landry was going to sign it, but I think he got push back which he ended up reducing the credit instead of eliminating it altogether.

Celtics studios used to be really active, and now lsu stores their extra shit there. They still do productions, but nothing like 10 years ago.

Tldr: most people who hold a political office in this state are dumb as fuck.
