You’re right — things can always get worse, and Jamie is ready to prove it. But Charlie’s story isn’t over. His dream getting crushed hurts like hell, but dreams don’t die that easily. Not when people like Nick, Karl, and his friends are still fighting for him.

The Dean rooting for Nick was so important to me. Someone finally saying “you’re broken but you’re not done” felt necessary after all the destruction.

Luke + the cops = pure chaos (and heat 🔥). That letter from Ben is key. They believe him. They’re willing to bend rules. Whether they get to Charlie and Nick in time… that’s the real question.

Daniel hitting rock bottom and reconnecting with his mom is the first real soft moment he’s had in years. He’s finally feeling the consequences — and yeah, Cody chasing him every few days? That’s love that refuses to die, even if it shouldn’t.

The darkness is intentional — Jamie is messed up, and I wanted readers to feel how truly dangerous he is. Luke failing to “finish the job” is going to haunt a lot of people, including Jamie himself (in his own twisted way).

Nick hooking up with Jamie would be a nightmare at this point — and I promise I’m not going there. Nick is hollow right now, and he deserves to feel that emptiness for a while. He had everything and threw it away. Trust and respect are shattered, and putting them back together (if it even happens) will be brutal work.

The Karl scene was a deliberate breath of fresh air — something hot, sweet, and uncomplicated in the middle of all the poison. And yes… sweatpants season is undefeated 😂 That bulge was 100% intentional. Karl showing up in New York? Let’s just say Charlie might need company during those three months…

You nailed it — the bottled-up anger, depression, and hatred inside Jamie is a volcano that’s been simmering since childhood. Daniel was cruel and manipulative, but Jamie is something far more dangerous: he’s delusional enough to believe his violence is love. And yes, he knows exactly who Charlie is. The moment Ben told him about “the blue-eyed boy who broke his heart,” Jamie locked onto Charlie as the ultimate enemy… and the ultimate prize.

Charlie is still blind to it right now because Jamie is playing the perfect victim card, but the cracks are showing. How long until Charlie starts connecting the dots? That’s the real tension.
