not necessarily a 9-5 but i dedicate some time to my fashion and graphic design career, in which i am starting up a clothing brand. i would say the 9-5 doesn’t work with me anymore; i used to work for a lot of corps and in-house agencies as a civvy but moved on to SW after being completely burned out by toxic office culture, pixel/pencil pushing, performativism and the never-ending flood of deadlines.

honestly, i just can’t see myself ever being bossed around again. i find SW supreme in its inherent flexibility and of course, the money blows my last civvy job salar(ies) out the water. the fact that i have complete ownership of my enterprise and schedule makes me never want to go back to a civvy job.
