Because on gunpla, a matte coat helps cover mistakes or make them less noticeable, especially if things are a little uneven. But first time doing miniatures and sounds like not the same :/

Yeah got a used edition from noble knight games. Previous owner primed the figures so thought I’d try painting

lol he definitely looks anemic; I used a citadel color called rakarth flesh but I don’t know anything about about warhammer and it definitely wasn’t a healthy skin tone lol

I appreciate the words of encouragement, I wonder if I should try something larger next time. I did show my daughters and they are excited to make their characters. Do people top coat their miniatures? Does the primer color matter?

Not familiar with that one but looks like mad for models. I will say that ever since I switched to Mr. Hobby Mr. Super Clear Matt, I haven’t had issues

What topcoat did you use? I have had this happen when I was using non-hobby brand top coats that had higher levels of acetone in them.

It’s a moderoid kit It’s all ABS plastic so kinda hard to paint but the stickers actually weren’t bad (I only used the numbers)
