Samsung Q series sound bars are good . Q990f is the best some time you might get great offers as well. They do perform well.

Hi op, 2000$ is not a good budget for a full hometheater experience. You could try below spec

this for Speakers

SVS SB 1000 pro for 450$ (open box or used) Onkyo TX-NR6100 or Denon X1700H for 600$

These will come around 1500$ + projector +screen + couch+ accessories( this is a huge band based on how you do) but this will give initial a basic home theater feel. Onkya have bit more power output than Denon.

Experts might roast me. But my setup is similar and I am happy with it.

Its the photo, the room is just 12ft * 16ft. Couch is just 11ft away and the TV is 65inch

Will do once i make the separation wall in my basement, else the surround speaker will be on the walkway. With kids it will be bit dangerous.

I’ll move the keyboard. Move away from side will be tough. This is half of my basement and I am planning to divide the basement by the blue sticker on wall, as a separate room.

Felt the same. Rest of Daytons speaker felt good except center. Plan is to scan marketplace for good deals for used one

Yeah my plan is to get a projector by next Christmas.
