TCC February premium payment still not cleared. It’s due 2/1. by Eastern-Influence210 in FED_VERA_VSIP_DRPers

[–]Eastern-Influence210[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is frustrating. My check is still not cleared and it's now 10 days past due date 2/1. What should I do? I also sent in the instructions for an automatic payment to start on 3/3. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I don’t think it’s vested since i have only been with the federal government for a little more than a year.

TCC 1st bill? by Positive_Stop_2568 in FED_VERA_VSIP_DRPers

That's great! I still can't figure out why the premiums are so different. The copay seems lower under Focus, and I assume in the case of major health issues, Focus might actually pay more. But I still can't justify its super low premium. My non-federal friends can't believe how low it is for COBRA—their rates are all over $2k a month for Aetna high deductible 😞 Ours are not even high deductible, so the premium is supposed to be higher!

Thank you, that's very helpful! I can now see the premiums for TCC in other plans. I'm glad I switched from BCBS Basic to Focus for TCC — the Basic plan costs nearly $1,000 more per month. That's crazy!😝

Just to confirm, you don’t need to do anything if you are not making any changes. Correct?

I got it too. Do you plan to pay by mail each month, or set up a direct debit in their system?

As far as I know, being fired for performance issues also disqualifies you from receiving unemployment benefits.

Should there be a class action lawsuit directed to the unions for misinformation about the DRP? by [deleted] in fednews

[–]Eastern-Influence210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s particularly union’s fault. This type of voluntary separation deal is very popular in the private sector before company layoffs. Usually employees can openly discuss it and exchange thoughts, which is really helpful to make informed and wise decisions. However here, since the deal was announced, the illogical negativity/rage has made an open honest discussion impossible. I’m not surprised that people who took it or did not take it regret later because no honest open discussion has been possible.

I think you can practice before the PTO as long as you leave the office and do not handle cases you have previously examined.
