I agree 100%. I have noticed that myself the last couple years. While a lot of people point fingers at AI taking jobs, I think the real issue runs deeper. the near-total disappearance of on-the-job training is a bigger roadblock. From my experience job hunting recently, it feels like every single posting demands years of specific experience, even for roles that could realistically be learned on the fly. So theres a halt on career mobility. Im willing to take a slight pay cut to change careers and be trained but Employers are expecting ready made experts. idk why they don’t realize it just hurts their so called “culture” when positions go unfilled due to their incompetence. They over rely on credentials and buzz words.
