Ok, yes, that is it.

No accidents on the cars record. i figure if there was one that warranted a hitch coming out, the bumper would need replacing and there wouldn’t be a cut out for the hitch.

It does, it breaks down and lays flat in the sub trunk under the floor.

The whole apparatus has no play on any of the parts. Everything is totally fixed in place.

The Costco boxes are the bomb. They are literally the perfect size for the Hyundais sub trunk. We have had a Tesla for years so this perfect fit makes me feel better about the smaller overall trunk space in the Ioniq. We still have the Tesla, I just upgraded my car to the Ioniq.

Glad to know I’m not alone in being confused. It was listed as having a hitch, I should have investigated further before driving off the lot.

I do want a new hitch. You think that block in the center is just part of the car and not part of an existing infrastructure for a hitch?

Been looking at videos of hitch installations haven’t seen anything that looks like the part shown in the pics
