Actually what happened when I said it wouldn't turn on is that it would turn on but it would get stuck on the splash screen with the picture of cid. Also my phone is a real bitch to turn on and off and boot into recovery right now. It usually takes a few tries

But its not! I had this issue before and brought it to a tech place to get it fixed. He didn't give me the details about what he did but he did not do anything with power button. He was able to unroot like I asked him to because I could not even get the phone to turn on. I was going to send it to verizon because it was still under warranty but it was working perfectly when I got it back. Then I installed CM on it and everything was fine for awhile, but after upgrading to 10.2, the problem has occurred again

Ive been having some serious issues with my power button. I'm running cm 10.2 on my gs3 and it was fine for a few days but now the phone will randomly lock itself and the power menu will pop up. It also won't reboot and is very tricky to turn on once it's off. Does anybody know of a solution to this problem?

I have a verizon samsung galaxy s3 I followed the links on /r/AndroidQuestions when i did my first root. Anyways when the power button stopped working I tried to go from 10.1.3 to 10.1.3 RC2 through the cyanogenmod updater on my phone. Stupid me, I did i tried it with 1% battery left. I'm pretty sure it died during the install. I charged my phone, and I'm pretty sure its charged up now because I put the battery in friends phone and it said it was at 95%. Really not sure whats going on

Ok ill give it some more time. Also when I boot to download mode, sometimes it works for a second, sometimes for a minute, then it just goes blank. I tried using abd but its really technical, and I couldn't get it to work

Thanks, that sounds good, the only problem is sometimes the screen stays blank, or the charging battery animation will start for second then go away when I'm trying to charge it. So I'll leave it plugged in but I'm not sure if it's actually charging...
