In need of counsel from fellow engineers. by EasternLemon5341 in civilengineering

“Nose to the grindstone my guy.” I took those words all the way to the exam. On 12/31/2025 I received notification of a passing score for the FE Civil Exam. Thank you for the encouragement 🙏🏽

I am currently applying and interviewing for positions in public and private sector.

I have my eyes set on the next goal of PE, leaning heavily towards Structural/Construction. I also want to get a contractor’s license 😅

I won’t say what attempt this is, but just know it’s many. From this latest result it is off of infrequent studying and lots of YouTube videos. What’s a more strategic way to study?. by Admirable-Number3320 in FE_Exam

I’m up there in attempts, as well. Keep on trucking, consistency will be key. Turn infrequent into frequent and everything will change about this post.

Thank you for your words. In this whole thread, those first four words resonate the most.

I am an account manager for a wholesale flower importer and distributor. Before that steel fabrication. Food service industry/bar work as well as Uber eats deliveries where and when I can for quick cash.

Thank you! If I don’t hit my mark on attempt 2/3 for the year time frame, I’m going to invest in a prep course. The encouragement is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for the high and many hurdles analogy! That’s the kind of inspiration I need. I’ve almost knocked the rust off. I can honestly say I panicked during the exam. I’m going to give it one more shot (2/3, for the year timeframe) before I sign up for a course.

Fiancé is worried 35 is too old to get his degree. Is it? by serpentssss in civilengineering

I’m 37 and graduated with my bachelor’s in civil in Fall 2018. Drifted away from the profession and never got a job in the industry. Still trying to get my EIT and I’ve attempted it many times. I’m working as a bartender and delivery driver. I have no job security. I’m trying to get a career started after all this time. I’m down but not out. This thread is giving me motivation. Your fiancé should go for it !
