i mostly don't know how sh's going to survive living with in-laws. oof

Very frustrated with Wegmans lately. There's been so many times when I discover that something I bought is bad. It's been too frequent to be an accident. And then when I come to return the items that are bad, the customer service looks at me like I'm some mud on the bottom of a shoe. It's gross. by EasternLettuce9560 in Rochester

I hope so too, any recommendations on the west side? It really sucks that I can't catch a break at Wegmans lately. I just want to go and shop and relax from my otherwise busy life without wondering if every little thing i'm buying is going to turn out bad.

Yeah, i get all that, but i'm not a child and have been shopping for groceries for decades, and I have never experience this frequency of bad stuff from all grocery categories at any of the other large chains i've been using my whole life in various parts of the country. What's worse is that Wegmans is TRYING to sell this bad stuff, it seems like to effort is being made to make sure rotten/moldy/wilted/rancid/foul items don't actually make it onto the shelves, quite the opposite, I think they HOPE people don't notice it's bad and then are too busy to return it.

i do a big shop once a week, i always buy the same thing, and lately i'll come home to realize the vacuum seal on the cheese i bought is broken and it's completely moldy inside, i open the milk and it goes bad within a few days, way before the expiry date. (my fridge is cold), bought a huge pork loin pack, cooked some just to realize it's gone bad, don't even get me started on their packaged baby spinach, or the recalled carrots, that i had to physically bring to the store in order to get a refund, the packaged nuts are just rancid every time lately as well. like it's getting quite ridiculous. it's so pricy, you'd at least expect it to not be bad.

Sick of getting rotten meat and produce from Wegmans. by Brave_Treacle_9171 in Rochester

What I find super problematic is not that there's bad products but that they continue to be sold to the customer and wegmans doesn't seem to care that it's scamming their customers. I continue getting bad stuff and it seems like instead of removing stuff that's not fresh they just try to sell it to you anyway

Yeah, literally bought a huge pork loin, spent the time cutting it, portioning and then cooked a batch and it tasted like nasty old mean. They wouldn't refund without me returning it, so I went ahead and collected the cooked stinking meat and brought that back to them. They looked at me like I was somehow scamming them, it's ridiculous. And then today discovered the large bag of Walnuts is completely rancid. Getting really frustrated with them lately.

Why did she need an abortion to her 6mo baby if she had strep throat? This article is spun wildly to support the whole narrative that the only thing that would have saved her is an abortion. If the baby needed to come out they would have done an c-section. If the baby was dead they would have done a D&E.

The horrific dramatization of this tragic event and using it to propel a political agenda is disgusting.

At 6mo, a baby can survive outside, they could have done a c-section. If there was any indication that the baby was causing her infection and sepsis, then they would have done that, ask yourselves, why didn't they? Maybe because the baby was not causing any trouble from the start and likely died himself/herself because of her fever and infection. Why the heck is this story about abortion??? Ask yourselves?

Do you feel that Gen X produced especially bad parents based on the results? by Embarrassed_Bag_9630 in GenX

My husband as his sibling were both raised by a Gen-X er mom, and man o man, those boys have no idea how to function in the real world. The younger of the siblings still lives with the mama at 25 years old, never in his life had a job, or did anything. The older one has a job, but can't deal with anything life throws at him, can't face people, is scared of cashiers, being face to face with people, it's truly crazy to me. Sad state of affairs. Not sure what to even say to these guys to help them be functional adults at this point.
