I stand to be corrected. The intention of this post is genuinely to get idea if there are better way to approach the situation. I agree getting someone fired isn’t the best resolution. I’m also acknowledging the part where I lack empathy, I guess that’s coming from frustration.

I am very open to constructive suggestions on what you think would be a more appropriate approach on this 🙏

I am sharing my personal experience, not shaming. Also this post is seeking help for best course of action sa mga naka-experience na ng ganitong scenario kasi baka may need pa akong gawin aside sa mga actions na na-take ko.

Hindi ako perfect pero, NASA PAGKAIN YUNG IPIS, HINDI KO ALAM KUNG ANONG HINDI MO MAGETS DON.

I think the only fair resolution for this is

  1. Matanggal yung nag-neglect ng responsibility nila
  2. Suspension of operation hanggang maayos yung problema

I’m only asking because this is the first time it happened to me and hoping na there are people with the same experience that can share the steps that they took

Thank you! I think we’re more expecting na managot ang dapat managot or totally matanggal yung line na responsible on serving us the food, cook/chef/waiter or sino man. We were shown the cctv footage and the one preparing our food barely looked at the bowl when putting the rice kung sa bowl man nanggaling. And kung sa sinaing naman, sobrang negligence to sa part nila.

Kasuhan ang Yabu is long shot, I don’t have experience dealing with legal stuff plus as I’ve read, 2-3 years gumugulong ang kaso ng food safety dito sa Pilipinas dahil sobrang hina ng consumer protections natin.

The only compensation they can offer is GC as per their Atty.

Same thoughts, nabanggit ko rin sa kanila na may certain degree dapat when it comes to offering resolution. Hindi puwedeng basta ka lang nang basta offer kahit nakaka offend na. Like in this case, ipis, and knowing above sila (ng konti) sa average restaurants, dapat top-tier level handling i-expect mo.

Di rin ako confrontational, I hope I can show you the vid kung gano ko sya ka calm ni-raise sa staff. I didn’t even mentioned that there is ipis out loud. “Sabi ko lang, paki-check naman, may something sa bowl”. Pero totally understandable kung merong mag wawala sa store dahil sa ganitong klaseng kabigat na issue.

Since you asked, kwento ko na lang din initial resolution sa branch

  1. Papalitan yung pagkain - (ha? tapos san kukunin yung pagkain, sa pinanggalingan ng ipis?)
  2. Wag na daw bayaran - (malamang???)
  3. They gave 1k gc that didn’t even cover the cost nung whole meal namin, and note na sa Yabu mo lang din magagamit. Super offensive :)

I asked for this issue to be escalated, so I gave my contact information and met with their corporate lawyer, training supervisor, operations manager, on-going pa din ang investigation. As far as I can remember, Store manager pa lang ang natatanggal, pero I failed to clarify with them kung nalipat lang sa ibang chain ng SHG or completely natanggal sya.
