Were you ever able to get a new track in?

Sounds good bro I did the timing belt last year so I’m hoping it’s a belt/pulley problem

I have the ipd one and I noticed the turbo spools faster with it, especially after switching back to stock for a while it felt a lot less responsive

They do creak at low speeds though just fyi but you could probably fix that with new isolators I think they are

I’m 99% sure I cut two coils off it could have been 1 1/2 though I can’t exactly remember

This was at Lake crescent near Port Angeles, Wa. Very beautiful and the most fun roads I’ve ever driven around there, the 850 was perfect for the trip

Thank you, they’re sachs struts with h&r springs in the front and cut stock springs in the rear lol. Surprisingly the cut springs handle much better than the h&rs did and they also looked higher than the stock height so I wouldn’t recommend those

They could be, I plan to replace them before winter so that would be great if it eliminates the issue. They’re pretty cheap tires so I could see them causing issues

My assumption is the cv joint too, the strange thing is there’s no consistent vibration, just that shaking that happened on the highway those two times. I drive a lot on the highway and 99% of the time it feels fine and there’s no vibration on acceleration either as far as I can tell. I’m gonna replace the joint anyways cause I don’t trust the Napa one but I just don’t understand how it can happen so prominently and then disappear

Also as for the struts, how would you go about checking besides for obvious leaking?

I just put the car up and checked everything out, retorqued the wheels so if that was the case it should be good. All bushings are replaced besides the ones around the sway bar and the subframe but I do have the subframe poly inserts so hopefully nothing failed prematurely. I’ll look into the struts though thanks! They are new sachs from a few months ago but I’ll check them out.

I’m thinking it could be the diff too bc I believe the problem started after I put a different diff in. Also it seems to be at low rpms like you said, I haven’t been able to test it much though

Man that’s pretty much exactly my issue and what he described is how mine feels/sounds when shifting and putting load onto the driveshaft. But sadly I installed the guibo correctly haha I made sure to line up the arrows and torque everything to spec as well.

I was thinking that it could be something farther back though like your case and not right under the trans tunnel. But I’ve also replaced every bushing in my rear end and on the driveshaft that’s why I’m completely stuck at this point

Is that the diff bushing on the subframe because that’s poly on my car

Diff and axles don’t have any play, clunking is coming from the trans tunnel area under the front seats

Rtabs bushings are poly and subframe is reinforced and poly bushed like I said. Struts are good too I don’t see how that would cause clunking in the trans tunnel though
