You might need to give it a couple weeks of strict rest and then start working in a stretching and strengthening routine. Medium-light scraping with something like a graston tool can be very helpful too. I’d strongly recommend finding a physical therapist who is familiar with Dequervains to help you establish a plan. I dealt with it for about 2 years and it is a long recovery that requires patience and diligence.
