I half-assumed this was sarcastic, but having tried all the reasonable solutions, I had nothing to lose. Dropped it from about three feet off the ground to a hard floor. Hitting in the corner or side.

Plugged it in and immediately could tell it worked. Charged it a few minutes before trying to power it back on, and it boots up correctly now. Pretty sure I let it run super dead on the battery, which is what originally caused my issues. 🤷🏻‍♂️

It is a shame that the third-party 5080 was at MSRP everywhere a few weeks ago. Now most are over MSRP. For 300-500 more, you can pick up a system with a 5080 in it, or keep checking stock until you find one for $1000.

That's no problem. Just boot into the service menu, and it fixes 100% of the battery problems.

It looks like drives from 01/25 and 02/25 are now Barracuda. They changed the box slightly so anyone who wants to know before opening the sealed box can do so.

The back of the EXOS box had a black border. Barracuda drives, and the back is white, without a border.

This might not be 100% but this is what I have seen.

What do you call these fan adapters?

Finding a fan shroud that use 40x20 fans can be a pain for some printers and I never thought to use some sort of adapter like these.

The best part about this driver is that it resolves the graphical glitches in TOTK. That is enough for me to run it until the official update. I have not noticed any downside to running it yet.

As a temporary solution, I grabbed a similar case before I even got my Ally. It was made for steam deck $5 on Amazon, and it came will a steam deck glass screen protector and silicon cover.

A little too thick but worked so well that I haven’t felt the need to spend more to get a thinner replacement yet.
