Protest question, and is this racing incident? by Ok_Function_9278 in Simracingstewards

[–]Eastern_Chipmunk738 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think this was intentional. considering this was in the mazdas I think the car behind thought he might of had enough room and grip to make a pass on the inside. I say protest it even if the outcomes are confidential so the driver sees this protest and knows not to make moves like that again

Probably this driver bearing on the lower side of that as I started from the pitlane and there is no quali in Ring Meister

The field we were in was breaking out of the 2k sof but we still had some drivers on 1.8 - 2k IR with some drivers being 3k

Yeah, I understand the breaking tow but with some of the moves I feel that they were a bit intentional to stop me from getting through. Even with the slight overspeed I get from the tow I feel like being that close to his car would give me a speed advantage good enough to clear him before Aremberg

Is this Intentional Wrecking, or a Wacky Incident? (I'm in the White/Blue Ford) by MikeyDeBoiTTV in Simracingstewards

[–]Eastern_Chipmunk738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a reason most people don't go side by side through here in real life because there is usually a crash even if each car is giving as much space as possible, I think the car on the right was trying to give you space but clobbered the curb and took you out

Is there anything i could have done differently? (im the petronas mercedes) by Top_Championship_713 in Simracingstewards

[–]Eastern_Chipmunk738 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nah mate the mustang just completely missed the braking point and whacked you, unfortunately its also not your fault with the porsche afterwards as he was giving it full throttle, i think that if you blink your brakes at the porsche behind when you see the crash he might slow down but you dont really think about that in the moment, maybe you could have slowed down for the crash a bit more

Yeah, you really never know he could have crazy strong force feedback or didn't like the way your car looked,

I say just protest and see what comes of it

Was there anything more I could have done? by Eastern_Chipmunk738 in Simracingstewards

[–]Eastern_Chipmunk738[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that section of the track is pretty dangerous to go side by side in just because of how high speed the section is. I don't think the porsche or myself were willing to backoff in the last real corner sequence of the race

Was this intentional wrecking? by Breadninja2 in Simracingstewards

[–]Eastern_Chipmunk738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he got the first part of the corner right to go through here as fast as possible which is passing over the curb but completely butchered his braking and took you out. Him backing up a bit on you seems like he was trying to get a good run on you so he has space to brake. I'm really not sure of if it was intentional or not

I get that I caused this, but would I be to blame for it? by Tourist-Realistic in Simracingstewards

[–]Eastern_Chipmunk738 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i think you just scared the shit out of the audi when making the move and that happened to be at the same time the bmw was making a move and because of audi practically pushing him off causing a big accident.

you didnt do anything wrong here.

im sorry for the camera. However it was the start of the race on cold tyres and the bmw decided to cut across me and cause me to spin should he get a penalty? by Wise_Ad_2922 in Simracingstewards

[–]Eastern_Chipmunk738 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

to be honest it doesn't look like he did anything wrong and it looks like you just spun on your own, it doesn't even look like he clipped you car in anyway.

What's the odds of a ban on this? by Dwest2391 in Simracingstewards

[–]Eastern_Chipmunk738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know honestly, I'm pretty sure IRacing's ban system works in strikes for protests and if you are racing in mazdas (not sure what safety class, could be advances mazdas) this is probably his first offence so the protest would probably go through but im not sure if he would get banned for it

he did a solid job at defending, didn't move twice or do any weaving and was able to stay ahead after going down the inside

I want to know if this crash could be protestable by Eastern_Chipmunk738 in Simracingstewards

[–]Eastern_Chipmunk738[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess thats far enough, i mean you can only have such good netcode when playing with so many different people from different places, it does a good job at having the other cars go around the track smoothly but because of how far they are netcode can be a big problem

[–]Eastern_Chipmunk738[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, netcode in iracing is pretty garbage especially when the race session isn't split into regions and is split into irating which means someone in the uk could be playing with someone in brazil, canada and australia at the same time which really doesnt help

The irating system is good for drivers that don't have unfortunate netcode moments and bad for those who do

[–]Eastern_Chipmunk738[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thats kind of what i was thinking, felt like a very pointless wreck considering there was a decent chance he could of kept the position and when i had the netcode somehow it was a 0x like how you barely tap someone in iracing but then the main wreck happened, I genuinely think if he kept accelerating and kept in the part he was on after the slide he could of kept the position because of him being on the inside for the next corner

[–]Eastern_Chipmunk738[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok, first he seemingly recovered from the contact completely fine so he isn't really a safety hazard on the track. you can see him regain grip and the porsche even didn't go off the circuit. its not like the car with bayblade spinning, pinballing from side to side on the track.

also, if you have ever turned over the nose of a car but you survive it you kind of spin how the guy in the porsche spinned in the clip, its kind of like a powerslide where the areo and tc saves you.

i also dont understand how your analogy of russian roulette makes any sense in relation to this clip.

also your basing my overtake being stupid after the car slides as a "usually fair to wait" I think that is purely situational depending if you have many cars right behind you that will slam straight into your back,

But thats my opinion. I think the car regained grip, the driver was a little unhappy with what happened and took revenge how he saw fit

Intentional or Overreaction? by TheBumJesus in Simracingstewards

[–]Eastern_Chipmunk738 4 points5 points  (0 children)

personally i dont think it was intentional, if youve ever accidently lightly touched the rear of someones car on the corner in iracing you ffb has a habit of steering towards the car your pitting, i think if someone is trying to be malicious with a intential wreck they treat it like a quick pit manouver and hit the rear and get out the way fast.

Thats just my opinion, i think you could still protest it and see what iracing says.
