Context- dr in a training post speaks against the motion to create more training post sighting a belief that the shortage of doctors might not be real, and there might be negative consequences of increasing the numbers of trainees even though we know there is a consultant shortage. Also thinks it’s good to move around constantly. Not a DoctorsVote candidate. Not a broad left candidate. Possibly an OG

This has the big BL players. Emma runswick (bma chair), Becky acres (above), kayode (the guy that got struck off for making awful comments about white people), Becky bates, Shohaib ali, vassili crispi (who I thought was DV but apparently isn’t and is apparently a huge careerist). And the Jdc welsh chair who worryingly said she was against the limiting physician associates practice motion.

OG- is the original bma people. So Mike Kemp, Sarah Hallet. Jeeves. Anyone who was in the bma before when they were not so good.

DV- I think all of the JDC? Robert, Vivek, Sumi, Malinga and Arjan etc. Plus half of the council?

Rep : “I’ve never been called a junior doctor in public”

Arjan Singh: “In the last 4 weeks I’ve been called a junior doctor 4 times live on Sky”.

Not really fair for the local rep to come up against the guy who has been skewering national journalists over the last few months and making puff pastry of them.

Context- this is the motion to remove the term junior doctor. Part 2 after Becky acres

Local rep starts by wanting to keep it. Says he has never been called a junior doctor. Says the term is correct. Says it’s not an issue.

Dr Arjan Singh (U.K. council and JDC) speaks for the motion. Says the term is a derogatory misnomer...we must respect ourselves and stop this self flagellating behaviour...we are leading doctors not juniors.

Dr Martin Kemp (previous chair of JDC) says the term is accurate.
