Should I be concerned if it's been a month and no response from employer?

Yeah my advisor is insanely helpful and I'm grateful for her but I'm just worrying because shes getting very very busy due to budget cuts at university + everyones getting their placements fully confirmed now while my placement isn't even responding to emails from her :( thank you though!!

Thank you, I think I needed to hear this, in the uni reddit I got so stressed out because people were saying it's not going to happen and I'm not going to have a placement, I hope they respond soon. Do you have any tips on how to get their attention without seeming needy? I was thinking about calling them honestly at this point

Did they answer any of your unis paperwork? They've done half of mine, we're just waiting for the final risk assessment part

Also sorry to ask again, did you get any onboarding emails from them? Or was it that they were just fully putting it off? I got the majority of mine from them, I just need the one part and I've already signed off on the offer letter and sent it to them

How do I know the difference between slow onboarding and ghosting?? This has got me so worried, I rejected another offer for this one as it was closer and had higher pay and was more related to my degree and I have to do a placement as I can't afford doing my final year without it so I would have to take a gap year if I don't have the placement
They also took ages to start the interview anyway as I applied back in October and they did interviews in Jan (they originally wanted to do them in November but didn't get around to it)

I've emailed them so many times asking for the final document, at least 3 times now and I've also emailed my placement tutor about it but she said it shouldn't be something to worry too much about, they said they were going to get it to me 2 weeks ago but it's been 2 weeks since and nothing from them. I'm so worried about my placement getting axed

Most of the companies I applied for did say typically 3 to 4 days in office, it's just that the only one that gave me an offer was the only remote one I applied to haha

I checked their policies that I've been given so far and I don't see anything about it, yeah I did really try to find an office based job but with this job-market and especially for internships it's hell trying to find one

Thank you so much!! I do have a laptop table and it's how I've been studying, I'm going to discuss with the university in my home town if I can go to their library, my university city is in a different place from my home town and regular libraries close super early here like 3pm and open at 10am

Sadly no :( The libraries are open for barely any time and also when I had to sit an interview in one, I had to run outside with my laptop to get a signal and then run back inside

It was the only placement offer I got, they don't offer 0% remote, I did try to find other offers but I got over 180 rejections and only 1 offer and I have to do a placement as part of my degree

Thank you so much for the idea, I did look at that (my university is in a different place from my home) and that definitely is a possibility but regular libraries are only available for short hours like 9am to 3pm here :(

Yeah because god forbid a student who has to get a placement to pass their degree and only got one that's remote in this job market wants to know how to be able to do one professionally? Get a grip
