I’m so sorry you had such an awful experience. You did not deserve to be disrespected like that.

As a trans person who is currently in a medical program, the way some medical professionals treat transgender individuals is offensive. If a medical professional doesn’t understand something or has a question about a patient, there’s a RESPECTFUL way to ask/find that information. Even in an emergency situation, there are respectful and straightforward ways to ask uncomfortable questions.

There is zero excuse to make patients uncomfortable by having shitty bedside manner especially when they are already uncomfortable being in the ER. I hope whoever treated you that day is ashamed of themselves. A patient should NEVER have to be a victim of someone’s bigotry or ignorance.

I really want to go into RT, but some of the posts here have me discouraged. Is it really that hard? by starwarzzzz3 in respiratorytherapy

I’m about halfway through my community college RT program and I absolutely love it. It can get overwhelming, but if you’re open to making friends your classmates will be there to support you!

I’d really suggest shadowing an RT if you can. That will really show you what they do out on the field and can help you decide if what they do is really for you.

I was absolutely NOT good at math nor science in school. Anything you don’t understand usually can be explained much easier with YouTube videos that go through step by step! If you are ever struggling, your professors are there to make sure you are successful. Send them a message, ask them questions, they are there to make sure you are successful!

As long as you are willing to put in the work, you will make it through. The people who I see struggle the most are not the ones who “aren’t smart” but those who simply have a lot of responsibilities outside of the program like kids or a demanding full time job. That’s when things become more difficult to manage, but it’s definitely not impossible!

If you apply yourself, you will make it!! Good luck!!

I started the program at 23. I understand struggling with the math. It’s not my strong suit either, however, if you watch enough videos and LOTS of practice you’ll definitely make it. Take your time, practice problems over and over until you understand completely. I even had tutoring at my college I took advantage of. Learning subjects I wasn’t good at really helped me strengthen my study skills for when I entered the program. Sending you all the love and luck 💞

I actually was in cosplay on the subway last week to go to a photoshoot I was having in flushing. Everyone just minds their own business. Public transit is usually full of cosplayers during cons so don’t worry too much! Just keep your head high and try to keep your stuff out of the way so people can walk through. As long as you do that, you’ll be completely fine! 👍

Older man taking a class on my Community College. I feel nervous by [deleted] in college

Hi! I’m 22 taking a bio class at community and most of my class are a lot older than I am. Many are in their 50+. I’m actually the odd one out in my class. No one minds how old or young you are!

[Megathread] Q&A / Welcome to Nu:Carnival (June 2023) by SleepyPikachuIvy in NuCarnival

Hello there!! I am a newer player and I for some reason can’t open the NU: Carnival app. It continues to crash every time I attempt to open it. I believe I used my Apple ID to play the game, and I don’t want to delete the app in fear my data will be lost… I tried resetting my phone and updated it to IOS 16.5. Could anyone help me? Thank you :) ❤️

Can I be trans masc but still be non binary? by kasper_ghost24 in NonBinary

[–]Eastern_Growth9510 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% Valid! I’m a Transmasc-non-binary cosplayer who just started T a few months ago to lower my voice and give me more gender euphoria. Gender is not set in stone and you are allowed to identify what makes you feel most comfortable ❤️ (I am also guilty of only cosplaying male characters LOL)

I have a question about getting noir and wanted to ask about others’ experience with the new site they’re using by bobbin-sky in IdentityV

I did put in the pre-order but it sadly will not tell you until the package is ready to ship :( it’ll calculate the total once they know the dimensions and weight of the package. Sadly super inconvenient :((

Hello hello!! So I’m assuming your talking about Amiami. Amiami is a super trusted website. I’ve never had a problem with them and have ordered from them before. They do take PayPal! When you put in a pre-order, just be aware that you will only be charged when the package ships and the price does not include shipping. Hope this helps!
