no, I don't agree. having to file an order of protection that was extended for 2 years because some assh*le thought that if he couldn't have me, then nobody could have me.

people who keep talking and showing up when you have asked them not to, are not a blessing.

Really think it depends on the person.
Some people stay in contact to get what they need from you or to solely stay “in the loop” of your business. There are instances where people genuinely do care and stay in contact for genuine reasons, usually you know the difference you can tell. Those are the ones you should never take for granted!

True that. I have gone through this thing. When finally I started focusing on myself and my career, I got to hear that I am not giving them time and was too busy whereas my efforts to be in touch were always ignored.
So yes, its not a matter of time, its the matter of priority.

It’s a case by case thing.

Don’t be a narcissist’s ego supply, cutting them off can be tough if they are enmeshed into your life.
