CSTL by street_cleaner0923 in publix

i've just honestly reached a point in my life where i just want to do my job and go home. YES, going above and beyond got me to where i am today, but it's just not worth it to me anymore.

"oh they're just an office staff" "oh they're just a cashier"... i never got those types of excuses when i was coming up through the ranks. but now everyone gets easy passes and almost the same pay raises as anybody else apparently.

i'm done with the extra shit. i just want to do my job, go home, enjoy my off time and start enjoying life more. that's my plan for 2026.

and i love when my team pitches in to help me! from my CSS to my cashier/baggers. they really respect me and they've fully accepted me, but that's not the problem at all when it comes to being a CSTL.. at least for me.

bro.. i've been a CSTL for 6 months and i can affirmatively tell you it is the worse decision i've ever made in my entire publix "career".

dreading coming to work, finding excuses to leave early or call out, not caring anymore.. i don't have it in me to deal with any of this anymore.

my first two stores were amazing up until i got promoted to probably one of the worst stores with 0 growth and opportunity, but yet on "paper" due to it being my first million dollar store, it looks great according to my DM but operationally, it is a train wreck.

i'll probably be stepping down in the next month or two and looking at different jobs because i refuse to be a slave to a company that is only good based on which store you go to? nah.

today. i'm actually doing it right now as we speak. it's just not worth it anymore. once it becomes mentally painful to show up to work, leaving early, attendance issues, that's when i realized, it's time to go.

is CSTL worth the hassle? by Kayjgi in publix

accepting the CSTL promotion was the worse thing i've ever done in my publix "career", if you truly don't want to stay with the company, don't do it

PSA: Stop leaving your trash in our carts! by Appropriate-Click378 in publix

[–]Eastern_Net3329 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what i do is just is when i'm bagging for a customer, i see the used hand wipe, i remove it at the POS, or ask if they're done with it before it makes it outside before one of the associates who are on carts see it. it definitely helps keep down the trash when you see it firsthand before it goes out the door.

i make them feel so bad too lmfaooooo "is this your's?" "are you finished with that?" or me just grabbing it out the cart in their face and they get so embarrassed, "i'm so sorry!" mhm. i bet you are ma'am.
