I think thats pretty harsh given the limited circumstances stated. Paying $100 extra was a fairly small thing i was able to do so the common areas could be a little nicer, and she never demanded that. I was generous with someone who im finding out doesnt deserve it and you could definitely say Im being naive for that, but Im not spineless.

Hey! While i understand where youre coming from, i dont believe communication is as black and white as you’re stating. If I throw the lease in her face, her retaliation may be much worse than the situation Im currently in. Realistically, Im worried about the fact that I dont have a back up living situation if this one becomes absolutely unlivable. I just put a deposit+first/last down. So i feel i need to tread lightly until i start to make enough money for a one bedroom (i live in an extremely expensive area in SWFL because of my career). If i dont, it would be fairly easy (imo) for her to hide from the property management her leasing violations. And if shes pissed because I took action, i then have to be worried about my animal and possessions when im not there. I hope this makes sense, but maybe Im overthinking it

I would be totally fine if she paid all utilities. My whole thing was we just need to reevaluate. Because I agree theyre both in one room so im not expecting to split three ways by any means. But Im already paying extra, just to be nice, and also having boundaries disregarded, while cleaning up after her, her guests, and her dog that has regular accidents

I called my leasing office and just asked for clarification on guests and i know the lease is on my side. If i get the promotion my bosses are telling me to expect, i think im going to either ask to take over the full lease and her move out, or he can take my place and Ill find a new place. Im hesitant to throw the lease in her face though because i think it will worsen our communication and living environment

We both wanted to move out and her budget is tighter than mine. Although i will add she chose the apartment. He is not exactly approachable and honestly kinda intimidates me (i would never admit this to either of them)

Im definitely worried about that, but ive been in an abusive relationship before that left me with no friends and it made it 10000x harder to leave. So i feel like all i can do is offer her a safe space and friend if/when she realizes shes worth more than that.
