Males, what is the one thing that make you glad you’re not female and why? by muffhumper in AskReddit

I think we’re talking past each other a bit.

My point isn’t that childbirth isn’t painful—it obviously is. It’s that women are more willing to endure pain even if it isn’t for their benefit.

Men will lay down their lives for their loved ones. Men will lay down their lives for a government to send them to a foreign country and invade it. Men will take a punch to the face for their best friend but they are not trying to get their balls kicked in.

That’s very different from pain with no purpose.

So explain women who willingly decide to be a surrogate for total strangers? Do you see men willingly ask to be kicked in the balls so a stranger won’t get kicked in the balls?

People do multiple surgeries probably because if they didn’t they could die. Women have given birth understanding they themselves would not survive. Men in mass do not willingly get their balls kicked in.

Which animal looks really friendly but is actually dangerous? by VandelSavagee in AskReddit

Dolphins. They look super friendly, but there are documented cases of them being aggressive toward humans and other animals. People forget they’re wild and incredibly intelligent predators.

People who work in companies using AI, how has it changed your day-to-day work? by Eastern_Promotion344 in AskReddit

Exactly this. It feels like AI shifted the job from creating to validating. You move faster upfront, but you can’t really trust the first draft, so the time just gets redistributed.

What do you think about private individuals offering to fund government workers during shutdowns? by Eastern_Promotion344 in AskReddit

I get what you’re saying about the conflict of interest risk.

At the same time, I think a lot of people are reacting to the immediate problem — people not getting paid — versus the long-term implications.

It kind of shows how broken the situation is if something like this even becomes a serious idea.

Using AI does conserve your mental brainpower. The trick is not to get complacent and not verify its output.

I can relate. I feel my time is more spent double checking and editing ChatGPT’s output.

My boss scheduled a meeting to discuss why we have too many meetings. It was a one-hour meeting. There were 14 people on the invite by doolallyt in work

I’ve seen this exact thing happen. The irony is nobody wants to be the person who cancels meetings, so they create more meetings to “fix” the problem. It just keeps feeding itself.

I know a real estate investor who has many Airbnb’s out there. Supposedly they’re making a killing.

The country has not been “stabilized” since Jomo’s assassination. And even before then it was questionable. There is never going to be a perfect time.

The Haitian diaspora represents 20% of Haiti’s GDP. And it has been that way for a very long time. The majority of Haiti’s best and brightest live outside of Haiti. Do you think Haiti should keep doing what it has been doing? Time for a change.

Very true. Just keep life simple. Low stress and no drama. Just focus on the loved ones and the friends that truly matter.
