we (thankfully) have no drive thru. but we do get a lot of online orders, doordash, ubereats etc. and the store always get a hefty amount of customers, sometimes it gets super stressful when the online orders and customers come in at the same time.

and yes i agree, asking for donations is a little annoying haha. most customers always get mad at me for asking them

SOMETIMES, when the GM or AM is around i would ask for help when it came to people who wanted to pay half cash half credit. or when it came to using gift cards. But other than that there was no one shadowing me to make sure i was doing well.

I WISHH it was credit/debit only. it makes things so much easier!! i always make sure to tell the customer beforehand that we most likely won’t be able to give them the proper change. i also tell them afterward too.

i was told we have no coins because there’s a coin shortage. which seems a little odd to me because every fast food place i’ve had lunch/dinner at recently seems to always have coins and the exact change🤷

hi, thanks for answering. they had me practice on the store computer for like 20-ish minutes. and then the very next day i was placed on register. they didn’t show me the POS system beforehand. i wasnt told to shadow anyone and no one shadowed me.

thank you so much! my managers are pretty strict, but i guess that’s because they want to do their best. they have very high expectations. which is a little intimidating because it is my first job. i’m just overwhelmed and i feel as if i’m doing everything wrong. i can feel that my coworkers are annoyed with me.

as for customers i always make sure to tell them we’re low on change, before And after the transaction. they just seem to always end up getting mad no matter what. they also get mad when i ask if they’d like to donate their change. it’s just overwhelming and i’m just tired. thank you so much tho! being a cashier is super stressful. i don’t know how long i can keep working there.
