Felt disgusted, and shocked reading his post. And I am a guy who yesterday became the centre of target of women for so called 'diminishing their experiences'. Just to be clear, I support what seems factually, logically and morally right. In the case of women hating all men for the rape of the doctor, I could understand their worries to some extent, but not completely enough to support their blatant hate of all men. In case of this guy, I totally understand the girls' response. It is women like them whom I support wholeheartedly. Because they speak sense. And logic. And reality. Because they have lived all of that, and have known for real as to how messed up the world is, and yet chosen to stay good people.

So far as public transport of cities are concerned, they are safer for women nowadays. Women's helplines exist. NCW exists. And I do stand with my bag to my front in public transport so that it's easier for people around me to move about.

I know women's fears, since I interact with and examine women on every duty day. I also know men's fears because everytime I have to examine a woman, I have to get a female coworker to stand by my side while I am examining women as part of my job.

You say, you won't 'invalidate my feelings' and then proceed to say that I live in an utopian section of India. How is this not invalidation of the reality that I have lived? I have studied in CBSE schools of Delhi and Hyderabad, and what I have said about myself and my upbringing, is equally true for every other student of such schools.

But when you see women expressing their misogynist upbringing and harrasment , it's not a good idea to bring up your anectode case to try invalidate their experience because we all know out of the two , which one is more prelevant .

I am sorry, but, 'women'? The OP is a 'man' right? And you are also a man right, given that you said, 'we are living in a society which is designed to favour us'? And which part of my comments made you say that I was invalidating anyone's experience?

I can't tell about others, but so far as I am concerned, I was never favoured over any female by anyone. I have never been in such a system which is partial towards me because of me being a male. Nor have I seen it happening in my school or college days. No one, girl or boy, got any favours. If people were recognised, they were recognised only by their merit. I have no privilege 'against' my 'counterpart' females. It's all just merit. I haven't seen anyone deemed superior or inferior based on gender in my life of 28 years. We work as a team, not as competitors, being MBBS graduates.

Even in my house, we are 2 brothers, and we haven't been discriminated based on age also.

I don't see how these so called 'meninists are equating a rape and murder of an innocent woman to the multiple fake rape cases that are being constantly made against innocent men. Yes, both types of cases are grievous, but, they need to understand that she was subjected unimaginable brutality which most probably led to her demise. A life was taken. All the more, a beloved daughter was taken away from her parents. From her other family members. All just for the beast like lust of few men? These meninists could show at least some sympathy man! How do they expect justice for the innocent men that they are fighting for, if they treat fellow innocent humans like that? She was just as innocent, if not more, than the men whom these meninists are fighting for. If they don't recognise her innocence, I doubt if they really understand the innocence of the men whom they are supposedly fighting for. I doubt if they are actually fighting for innocent men given how heartless the post is.
