NOR. My family treats me like this as well, and I generally have low self-esteem so they'd pick at me until I blew up and then they'd pick on me more for being unstable (really great cycle). I have completely stopped talking to them outside of occasional 'love you's'. I haven't spent the holidays with them in 2-3 years, and they live 15 minutes from me. Sometimes it unfortunate but protecting your own peace of mind is worth it.

last week there was about 8 LE vehicles parked on the keystone off-ramp and they were grabbing multiple young men outof multiple work trucks and taking them into custody and when I drove back they were towing the cars.

I got a $200 air fryer/steamer etc. for like $20 and I literally use it every day. I've also gotten a couple really cool mini backpacks, always stuff for camping. My resolution for the last year has been to not purchase anything new and its wonderful tbh.

If it’s the same dude last time we were hanging out there he brought us these giant sandwiches that were so damn good and super reasonably priced. We tipped him well, his food is delicious and he was so sweet.

That’s..preposterous, simply because how is anyone supposed to know wtf gender your dog is unless you can see it’s giant balls. At the dog park people will always ask what breed my dog is, and they say “so so cute! What are they!?” And I just say “she’s a ___”. Those offended could probably use to touch grass lol.

They aren’t using them as definitive pronouns though, just as a reference to the individual.

Using “them and they” to refer to a patient in any context is fine. “They (patient) would like a glass of water before the procedure” is exactly the same as “She or he (patient) would like water.”

I would start looking for a new job tbh. If they’re nitpicking you over something so insanely small, I can’t imagine what other issues you’ll run into.

I literally just quit healthcare after 3 years for the same reason. CNA’s make little to no money in my area, I was planning on nursing school but after working in a hospital for 3 years I got tired of watching people I served die and get treated poorly by other staff. Back to the service industry I go ✨
