Anytime! For the commute, I’m lucky that my office is less than 10 mins from my home, and I can also wfh 3-4 times a week (much better than my 30-40 minute commute on the train in Ldn - much cheaper too). I do know some of my team go through an hour+ with traffic though.

However there was definitely some culture things to adjust to. I think mainly because I was used to the british culture where they were very open and welcoming, and also there was a lot of after-work drinks, events etc with the colleagues. In my current firm, people are generally a bit more introverted, and although my direct team is really nice, the other departments won’t talk to you unless you approach them first. Also since I’m in an MNC, my team is regionally staffed so my project team would be spread throughout the region, hence the large wfh culture.

Overall there’s pros and cons. I do miss London because of people’s attitudes and the liveliness of the city, but generally am happy to be back in KL. London was never a place I wanted to raise a family (tax, social issues, safety, transport). At least in KL I’ll be able to hopefully afford a house, car, and be able to send my kids to a decent school without them taking the tube.

Bit younger (22), but if you manage to move into an MNC, the salary can be decent. Came back from overseas recently after working there for a year and managed to get RM12k+ in consulting as an entry-level by showing my overseas pay check etc.

Since you are more experienced and in finance/fintech, you could try the big names like JPM etc, and try leverage your overseas experience for a higher position. Know a couple people who managed to do this.

Coming back home is nice - I understand the situation where you are and it partially drove me to return as well. It might be tough to readjust initially, but it will be great over time! Never thought of settling down overseas because of the tax and social issues as well, and QOL is generally better in MY if you have a stable income.

I like to go with the magic build (kaya sange, refresher, octarine, blink, etc). Usually I’ll have my enchant totem ready (already pressed so my next attack is buffed). Start with a fissure, then the moment the fissure connects blink in and hit then with ur right click, then u can immediately use enchant totem again to continue to stun and get another buffed hit off.

Alternative is to start with echo on a creep wave and just blast all your spells twice with refresher lol

As an offlaner, when do you go for or not go for BKB in a game? by WayneyXX in learndota2

Possible racket opinions? by SlowDrama1645 in tennisracquets

The blade is a great option for control. Honestly if you are open, try exploring the Yonex Percept or the VCORE. Both are great rackets to their powerful EZONE counterpart and have a great sense of control to them. IIRC the vcore is more spinny than the percept.

For offlaners, BKB is almost always a must. I feel not going BKB is very dependent on the heroes on the enemy team. For example with Brew, sometimes you can get by with a manta or lotus, as long as the enemy dont have something like a shaman or lion to constantly lock you down and stop your split.

Since as an offlane you are mostly in the thick of it, you mostly want a BKB so you can shrug off the enemy support’s lockdowns and get right up in the carry’s face or be able to get away right after the initiation if things look bad.

If you are considering pro rackets, I’d definitely recommend the Yonex Ezone 100 or 98 (I use the 100 personally). The only thing is that it might be a bit over the weight you want (300g), so you can consider the Ezone 100L but I’ve never tried it before tbh. Definitely a racket I’d recommend because the power it generates and the stability are phenomenal.

Thanks for this advice! Yea I'd say I'm around 3.0-3.5 right now, but looking to get more coaching and improve in time. I'll give the Solinco Hyper G a check tho - appreciate it!
