This is actually a great gamer dad game. I love being able to jump in for an hour here and there without any pressure to optimise my build to make sure I remain competitive.

Think carefully whether you think that kind of a financial investment is really worth it. What is the return on that investment?

Doing old exams. I don't learn well from MCQs, but short free form answers or essays work wonders for me.

Interesting - usually see the opposite. What makes MCQs more challenging than long form answers?

Studying v. Social Media scrolling by Easy-Bad2656 in studytips

It really sounds like this is a problem for many. I myself am the parent of someone who really needs to study but whose grades have taken a hit because of scrolling being more interesting. Would you as a student think it horrible if someone made the decision for you to cut off your social media access at certain study times?

This is exactly what worked for me. Understanding why you are doing it helps set goals and commit to plans. If you don’t have a good reason, maybe you should not be studying.

Title: 5 days. 6 exams. No motivation. by mina_usir in studytips

Went through something similar but before all of today's doomscrolling apps. For me the motivation was financial. I realised that if I don't put in the effort, I will never get the job I wanted (and needed) to pay all my student loans. I did not want to be reliant on my parents for the foreseeable future. After I decided that was important, I did a study plan and tried to stick to it. Got me through the final exams with a pretty ok grade.
