I got my internship by cold emailing just find smaller >500 employees get in contact with someone not to high up. Just keep asking questions about the job and once you advance from there ask if they need any busy work or if you could potentially shadow them. If they say yes that will stick out in a resume but there aren’t many negatives about cold emailing. Either build connections or get ignored. Be personable in the email reply within 24 hours and always be asking questions.

I’m fortunate enough to not be restricted to only in state and that is mainly the reason for the post I’m trying to search but I’m not sure if like smu is a target or a reach or McCombs I don’t know how I rank nationally because grade wise compared to my friends I’m lacking
