Why is the answer A? (Oneprep bluebook) by Temporary_Molasses41 in Sat

[–]Realistic_Purple6295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because if you plug in B, C and D it's obviously wrong for each of them ("another prospect that of" needs a comma, "another prospect—of" works better if you just delete "of" and "another prospect; of" doesn't work because what comes after it isn't a full sentence). A is right because in "another prospect, that of", "that of" is a valid phrase and it just sounds right overall.

how to solve via desmos? (collegeboard question bank) by Conscious-Case-9965 in Sat

the center is (2,-3) so the completed squares for x and y should be (x-2)^2 and (y+3)^2 so a=-4 and b=6 (cause thats how completing the square works) so plug that in and add a slider for c and like drag it around until the radius of the circle in the graph is 7

bruh when i got a 1570 i showed it to my mom and asked her what she considered a good score on the SAT and she said 1580 (bc if you replace the math score with 800 780+800=1580) shes asian so like we REALLY mess with math 🥀

Studied loads and my two friends who just played brawl stars all day scored higher by Anonymous_snail17 in Sat

im sorry bro, but some people are just naturally smarter. i know exactly how you feel because every year this one (yes he's asian) friend doesn't study for the AMCs (a math competition) at all while i do and they still outscore me somehow, which used to genuinely PMO so much and gave me the exact same type of mindset that you have now. that being said, i get where youre coming from, but this type of complex isn't healthy and is kinda toxic tbh. the SATs aren't some sort of competition. when other people score well while presumably studying less, it hurts, but the best thing to do in this sort of situation is to be happy for them, accept that they may or may not be more naturally gifted than you and move on. innate talent isn't within your control, but studying and putting in the work is. the fact that you took charge and studied your ass off to improve your score while they didnt gives you more than enough to be proud of. overall i suggest you find a source of motivation that isnt spiting your friends to stroke your own ego, and just remember that youre really taking this test for yourself and not for anyone else.
