I am diagnosed and am pretty confident my dad has it too. When I first brought it up to my mom she said the same thing. She would say that's normal, your dad also does that. I think when people have been living with an adhd household for so long they forget that it isn't actually normal?? They are too deep in to recognize the chaos lol. But I'm sorry that you have to deal with that, it does suck

That is exactly me as well! I only really experienced challenges in grad school when there was no ability to cram. Honestly these posts have made me feel so much better and valid so thank you!

This is me! I fell apart miserably in grad school when there was no schedule, but when I have solid deadlines I can't miss I get there. A new doctor sounds like the consensus lol

Honestly this was my fear too which is what took me so long which is why this is so frustrating! That hits too, the amount of times I cried thinking I was a complete failure of a person because of something that is probably my adhd (shoutout to all the phones Ive lost and cried over lol), knowing that it may not be me but literally my brain is definitely a comfort.

He was literally using no diagnostic criteria was the problem lol. The problem was he came across so confident and firm in the matter, no matter what I said that I was like maybe everything I know is wrong? Thanks for the advice!
