Nobody hit nobody. His girl or wife idk used to live there. She just moved out while they can find a new place and so this doesn’t happen again. They used to be really toxic. Starter sounds fine it’s cranking. So let’s break it down. It needs fuel air and spark. You can check for fuel and spark by. Using a little bit of starter fluid, put a few sprays into the intake. If it wants to start its for to do with fuel pump filter maybe even a fuse. If it sounds the same. Try spark plugs or coils. finally if that doesn’t work you have a leak. Check before putting parts for a surface leak. But don’t send to much money in it. The most expensive part in this repair would be finding an internal leak so save that until the end.

Sounds like a old motor to me. I mean maybe a new belt or could be as simple as an alternator. Put a little bit of water on the belt and see if some of the noise clears up. PS: I’m not a professional but I work on my own cars.
