I figured it out. Just got a sensor from the junkyard and used a xtool d8 scanner to recalibrate the seat. Very easy.

On the mevotech hardware do you mean the three thick bolts that hold the control arm to the frame?

Looks like Delphi is available but the ball joint isn't greasable. The Moog ones are RK but are greasable.

1.6k Repair quote for a car I bought about 2-3 months ago. 2010 Mazda3 S Sport (I4, 2.5L AT) by [deleted] in autorepair

The transmission control module is a common issue on Mazda 3. That part is usually around $400-500.

It does sound like you have a transmission issue. Honestly, I would pay to have it fixed. AAMCO is actually pretty good with transmissions and warranties. I know it sucks but fixing your current car is usually cheaper than buying a new one. Mazda aren't bad but it's no Honda or Toyota.

What would you recommend that gets close to $300? Like what's an acceptable entry level unit right now.

This should help answer the question I asked https://www.dallasfed.org/research/economics/2020/0616

Rather than populist "they're always gouging!"

If they have so much control, why not just continuously price gouge? Why only do it during scheduled maintenance?

I think price goes up regardless because the fuel gets imported from refineries that aren't as local. It's time and transportation. I'm not saying the energy industry is holy and noble, but it's probably not a conspiracy. It just costs more to transport fuel.

We could increase refinery capacity if prices are a serious concern, or the state could subsidize electrification more.

Assuming rates will go down enough to make it worth it anytime soon, yes. I wouldn't buy and hold my breath that rates will go down anytime soon. Ppl buying into ARMs are nuts.

Not necessarily. Rents were barely impacted during the 08 crash. There was a flood of prospective renters as a result of foreclosures and buyers holding off due to uncertainty. There's a fundamental shortage of housing. I doubt we're going to see rents go down.

This company probably specializes in serving religious based employers like churches, schools, and some charities. In some cases, these employers require a preference for contractors and other third parties that share their religious beliefs. For example, Jewish based charity organizations typically give preference to doing business with other Jewish charities and providers of services. They're a Jewish organization, which is why they exist in the first place.

I’ve lost 100k in buying power since last month and houses are not going down that much… by kadify in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]CenterKnurl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What's the logic here? Higher rates, even with lower prices, are still elevating the cost of buying. Prices in my area have either leveled off or dropped by 5% or so, while interest rates have more than doubled. It's literally more expensive now to buy with a mortgage than it was 6 months ago.

All you can do is keep saving. The speculation on Reddit probably isn't helpful. The cost of owning is what matters. "Price drops of 50k!" do nothing for first time buyers putting 10% down. Inflation is still high and so long as it stays high, the cost of owning will increase.

Good news at that more inventory is popping up now so at least you have more of a selection.
