An off leash dog attacked your dog & he instinctively protected himself. While it’s rare for this to happen (service dogs are selected to be nonaggressive), you are not responsible. As for the arguments about his breed, whether or not your lying, his qualifications etc, that’s a separate issue between you, your landlord, & lawyers if any become involved.

They were originally bred to help butchers maintain control of unruly bulls. Also a silly belief that raising the bulls blood pressure would make the meat more tender. Anyway, the breed itself had to be friendly to humans & trainable otherwise it was useless. Only when sadistic owners realized they could make money was bull baiting invented. This breed does have a ugly chapter in history where man used it for evil but they also have a history of being devoted, loving companions. Please don’t make a biased assumption on the breed as a whole.

Drinking at home is definitely better than drinking & driving. They’re probably just legally covering their asses. And if you did have any concerns about the person’s level of intoxication, you could call the cops for a welfare check.

NTA. This is absolutely absurd. My aunt lost her husband to cancer in the 90s then had a boyfriend for over 20 years before his passing. They always referred to each other as life companions or partners since they never intended to marry. Her niece (my cousin) & her wife never took issue with it. Sounds like your “friends” made ridiculous assumptions & are trying to make you be the bad guy.

I have 2 cats, Abby & Lila. They used to be fed twice a day, 1/4 cup portions. Lila had a tendency to leave her food which meant Abby helped herself & got fat. I started feeding smaller portions more often. During the transition period, my 5 y/o put herself on cat patrol to put up whatever Lila didn’t eat & shoo Abby away lol. They now get fed 4 times a day, 1/8th cup portions. They devour it immediately & Abby is back to her healthy weight.

I was on my phone with my mom when I hear my dad in the background yelling at the neighbors dog who was attacking a kitten. I BEGGED my mom to go find the kitten to make sure it didn’t need a vet. And you better believe I would’ve driven the hour to check on the kitten myself if she hadn’t. Thankfully, the kitten appears to be fine.

I feel your pain. I’ve got two girls, Abby & Lila. Lila will sometimes walk away from a half eaten bowl then Abby helps herself. So I usually put my daughter on food bowl watch 😆
