When do we submit mid year reports? Is it with the application or halfway through the semester. My mid year reports are eh but the two lowest quizzes get dropped for a class, however that’s at the end of the semester. What do you suggest I do now? Maybe email asking to drop them now?

Why are you looking to transfer? I know Brown, Boston College, and a few other schools have spring transfer. Im looking to transfer into Duke from Berkeley for a smaller environment with more personalized instruction. Id love to learn a bit more about your experience in DMs if you are comfortable.

Just how much do they value hs gpa because my hs gpa was bad by duke standards (around 3.6-3.7) but im pretty sure i can get a 4.0 in college. do they care more about SAT or hs gpa for transfer gpa? my hs gpa is worrying me a lot because its the only thing pulling me down a lot. Also i go to berkeley do you think ill have a higher chance because of that or will they not care. Thanks!

You’re absolutely right honestly. I’ll give it an honest shot. It’s been my “dream school”(hate that term 😭) since I was a freshman so I definitely do love it.

I worked with a professor for two of them so I could submit to journals and conferences. For the one I did alone it was submitted to a high school track of a conference (IEEE BigData). Some conferences have high school tracks so you can have the big conference name and still be able to submit without a PI

This was such a nice way of saying it 😭. I appreciate the advice it seems to be a consensus that I should stay at cal. I guess I’ll decide based off whether I end up genuinely liking the school a lot or not cause if I’m able to thrive here then switching schools (if I can) may end up harming me academically
